Patient Service Representative

Responsibilities

• Perform reception duties and manage medical records
• Handle referrals and pre-authorizations
• Manage patient scheduling
• Coordinate closely with the healthcare team, KVH personnel, and external customers

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least one year of general administrative, clerical, or customer service experience
• Medium to expert level proficiency in Microsoft products
• Demonstrated knowledge of Medical Terminology
• Previous cash-handling experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Some college coursework
• Bilingual skills
• Previous medical office experience (medical records, insurance verification, pre-authorization, scheduling, or high-volume phone systems)
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
• Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS)
• Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA)
