Patient Service Representative

Responsibilities

• Handle telephone calls from patients and staff, forwarding calls requiring triage
• Perform receptionist duties with close attention to detail and professionalism
• Verify health insurance payment information and educate patients on applicable regulations
• Collect payments and record financial data accurately
• Perform data entry of service charges, including assignment of diagnostic codes
• Coordinate information with the Central Billing Office to ensure all charges are captured and collected
• Manage patient check-ins and appointment scheduling to direct patient flow

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2-5 years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in front office duties including patient check-in and scheduling
• Experience with insurance verification and medical billing processes

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a medical office environment
