About the role
Responsibilities
- Facilitate the patient admission process and manage patient intercom requests.
- Arrange patient transportation to outside agencies.
- Coordinate facility information and work orders, ensuring follow-up and task completion.
- Assemble, organize, and maintain patient medical records and charts according to hospital policy.
- Input patient charges via computer systems and assist in the orientation of new staff.
- Answer incoming telephone calls promptly and courteously.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment to support patient-centered care.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of general office experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and the ability to learn new software.
- Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively, use discretion, and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Ability to interact professionally with both internal and external customers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a medical or clinical setting.
- Experience in an Emergency Department (ED).
- Completion of Associate Business courses.
