Patient Service Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the patient admission process and manage patient medical records/charts according to hospital policy.
• Answer patient intercoms and incoming telephone calls promptly and courteously.
• Arrange patient transportation to outside agencies.
• Coordinate facility information and work orders, maintaining records and following up to ensure task completion.
• Input patient charges via the computer system.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment to support patient-centered care.
• Assist in the orientation of new staff and provide cross-coverage for multiple patient care units as required.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of general office experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and the ability to learn applicable medical software.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask effectively, use discretion, and maintain strict patient confidentiality.
• Ability to interact professionally with both internal and external customers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a medical or clinical setting.
• Experience working in an Emergency Department (ED).
• Completion of Associate Business courses.
