About the role

Responsibilities

  • Review scheduled studies in advance of patient visits to ensure proper study scheduling based on referral
  • Verify all required paperwork/documentation is in the system and complete insurance verification, financial clearance, and prior authorization
  • Confirm completion of clinical documentation, lab results, medical form clearance, and medication cessation
  • Coordinate with technologists and specialists regarding appointment status changes or patient needs
  • Assist with appointment confirmations, patient communications, and contacting referring physician offices
  • Coordinate VIP appointments and assist with overflow scheduling calls

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of previous experience
  • Experience as a Patient Service Coordinator or in a similar capacity
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD10, and CPT coding and procedures preferred
  • Ability to type at least 40 wpm
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience as a medical receptionist/front desk or related role
  • Proficient in English (at least B1 level)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
