About the role
Responsibilities
- Review scheduled studies in advance of patient visits to ensure proper study scheduling based on referral
- Verify all required paperwork/documentation is in the system and complete insurance verification, financial clearance, and prior authorization
- Confirm completion of clinical documentation, lab results, medical form clearance, and medication cessation
- Coordinate with technologists and specialists regarding appointment status changes or patient needs
- Assist with appointment confirmations, patient communications, and contacting referring physician offices
- Coordinate VIP appointments and assist with overflow scheduling calls
Requirements
- At least 1 year of previous experience
- Experience as a Patient Service Coordinator or in a similar capacity
- Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD10, and CPT coding and procedures preferred
- Ability to type at least 40 wpm
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist/front desk or related role
- Proficient in English (at least B1 level)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
