Patient Service Assistant

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality reception and secretarial services to patients and clinic staff in a compassionate manner.
• Perform general administrative tasks including filing, minute taking, agenda creation, and managing office supplies.
• Manage billing administration, including patient admissions/discharges, eligibility checks, and preparing invoices.
• Support nursing staff with non-clinical duties such as maintaining cleanliness of treatment areas and restocking consumables.
• Assist with food preparation and the delivery of nutritional requirements to patients and visitors.
• Coordinate logistics such as booking ambulance transport and managing pathology sample collections.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, hygiene, and workplace health and safety protocols.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in a similar administrative or patient service role.
• Completion of a Patient Service Assistant Certificate or an equivalent qualification.
• Strong knowledge of Infection Control and Hygiene principles.
• Proficiency in MS Office and general office administration.
• Demonstrated skills in food preparation and presentation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality, discretion, and maturity.
