Patient Scheduler

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service to patients and referral offices via phone
• Manage a multi-line phone queue and direct callers to appropriate departments
• Assess, document, and communicate post-surgical questions and concerns to the clinical team
• Schedule patient consultations and surgical procedures in the EMR system
• Complete insurance verification and educate patients on in-network and out-of-network policies
• Reschedule appointments and perform patient registration, EMR data entry, and chart preparation
• Comply with HIPAA regulations and practice values

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build rapport with patients and the dental team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
• Proficiency in dental software and basic computer skills
• Understanding of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance processes
• Empathetic and patient-centered approach to customer service
• High school diploma required
