Patient Scheduler

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service to patients and referral offices via phone
• Manage a multi-line phone queue system to assist callers efficiently
• Direct callers to the appropriate department or individual
• Assess, document, and communicate post-surgical questions to RN via clinical messaging
• Schedule patient consultations and surgical procedures in the EMR system
• Complete insurance verification forms and obtain necessary insurance information
• Educate patients on in-network and out-of-network insurance policies
• Perform patient registration, EMR data entry, and chart preparation
• Comply with all HIPAA regulations

Requirements

• High school diploma required
• Experience in dental or customer service preferred
• Proficiency in dental software and basic computer skills
• Understanding of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance processes
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities
