About the role
Responsibilities
- Greet patients upon arrival and maintain a welcoming front office lobby
- Obtain, review, and route insurance information to appropriate staff
- Distribute and review patient paperwork for accuracy and completeness
- Update patient status in the computer system according to established guidelines
- Verify insurance coverage and frequencies as needed
- Assist with attaching payments, sending claims, and checking billable x-rays
- Perform other duties as assigned to bridge the front and back office
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Dental experience preferred but not required
- Excellent customer service and patient-facing skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple demands concurrently
- Effective communication with clinical team, patients, and responsible parties
- Team-oriented mindset focused on patient care
- Positive problem-solving skills with ability to think on your feet
