Patient Procedure Scheduler

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgeries and procedures using Epic OP Time in collaboration with physicians and staff
• Coordinate pre- and post-surgical appointments and manage ancillary area requirements
• Manage procedure schedules based on established guidelines, equipment availability, and time constraints
• Communicate schedule changes, pre-appointment instructions, and directions to patients
• Order and coordinate the delivery of special supplies and equipment as necessary
• Enter vendor information into the Vendormate system and schedule anesthesia per protocol
• Document all patient messages electronically using In Basket functionality
• Provide high-quality customer service and service recovery for patient inquiries or concerns

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience with Epic-OP Time (operating room scheduling module)
• Successful completion of Cadence Scheduling system training and competencies
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and handle challenging situations in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in using personal computers and various software applications

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree
• Experience with Vendormate
