Patient Onboarding Associate

Responsibilities

• Place timely welcome calls to newly enrolled patients to introduce services
• Schedule new patient appointments and enter demographics, insurance, and visit details into EMR
• Provide patients and caregivers with information regarding their first visit
• Confirm appointment details with providers and coordinate with internal teams
• Document all patient interactions, scheduling details, and follow-up needs
• Identify and escalate urgent patient needs to clinical or operational staff
• Collaborate with intake, scheduling, and clinical teams to resolve issues
• Maintain a patient-centered approach with compassionate communication

Requirements

• Strong verbal communication and customer service skills
• Ability to handle a high volume of patient calls
• Compassionate and empathetic demeanor
• Highly organized with multitasking and prioritization skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Successful completion of background check and drug screen

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in patient onboarding, scheduling, or call center
• Experience in healthcare administration
• Knowledge of healthcare terminology and insurance basics
• Experience with EMR systems
