Patient Observer Tech

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients from a remote centralized monitoring station (CMS) to prevent falls, elopement, and other safety events
• Proactively alert nurses and caregivers regarding patient movement or identified safety risks
• Document all patient interactions, communications, and movements accurately
• Perform clerical and receptionist duties, including answering phones and routing messages with proper etiquette
• Assist clinical personnel with various non-clinical duties to support the healthcare team
• Utilize AIDET communication standards when interacting with patients, families, and staff
• Track patients transferring to and from the unit to ensure continuous observation

Requirements

• Experience in patient monitoring and maintaining patient safety
• Proficiency in clerical support and reception duties
• Ability to perform detailed documentation of patient interactions
• Strong communication skills using AIDET protocols
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
