About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee caseload of STD clinic patients seeking HIV prevention services
- Ensure patients are connected to prevention and treatment services and adhere to care plans
- Deliver health education and promotion messages according to clinical protocols
- Coordinate logistics including appointment reminders, scheduling, and medication adherence
- Collaborate with STD clinic staff to identify qualified program candidates
- Perform rapid HIV screening and provide confidential results and advising
- Maintain liaison with healthcare providers and public/private agencies to expedite patient follow-up
Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree with 12 semester credits in health education, health, social, or biological sciences; OR
- Baccalaureate degree with six months of full-time experience in health promotion or disease intervention
- High school diploma with four years of full-time experience in health promotion or disease intervention
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a Public Health Adviser, Assignment Level I (for Assignment Level II)
