Patient Case Specialist

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough analysis of patient financial data to ensure accurate billing
• Determine and meet third-party payor requirements to secure reimbursement for inpatient services
• Capture and document complete patient demographic and insurance information for admissions
• Calculate patient liability and discuss payment options with patients
• Execute pre-admission, verification, pre-certification, and ADT functions
• Cross-train across all Admission Services functions as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and/or 3+ years of relevant experience
• Strong mathematical skills for calculating patient liability
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers with tact, discretion, and courtesy

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a healthcare setting
