About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist radiology technologists with patient positioning, lifting, and moving for examinations
- Perform clinical tasks including starting IVs and administering or dispensing contrast
- Monitor patient safety and communicate observations or concerns to the technologist
- Maintain equipment and supplies by cleaning rooms, stocking IV carts, and checking emergency equipment
- Provide clerical support such as answering phones, scheduling procedures, and entering data into the Epic/Radiant system
- Transport patients using wheelchairs, stretchers, or patient lifts
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Basic knowledge of anatomy
- Knowledge of radiation safety principles
- Experience with venipuncture
Preferred Qualifications
- BCLS certification
- 2 years of patient care experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology and aseptic techniques
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
