Patient Care Technician

Responsibilities

• Pick up and transport clinical instrumentation, MPU scopes, and clinic scopes
• Transfer instruments, instrument carts, or implants between the CSPD and the OR
• Organize and store sterile instruments on shelves in the OR area
• Move and deliver carts, bins, and racks of used instruments to appropriate departments
• Assist in loading and unloading instrument lifts and cart washers
• Retrieve minor items and instrument pans as requested by staff
• Perform minor cleaning duties, such as wiping down surfaces and organizing work areas
• Monitor various areas for instrument-related needs and restocking requirements

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for long periods
• Ability to work flexible shifts

Preferred Qualifications

• Reasonable knowledge of methods, materials, and equipment used in laboratory or patient care activities
• Strong teamwork ethic
• Ability to work independently in a busy clinical environment
• Experience with push/pull physical tasks
