About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care and technical support under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
  • Obtain and record vital signs, including temperature, weight, oxygen saturation, and pain scores
  • Perform specimen collection, including blood, urine, stool, and sputum
  • Assist with clinical procedures, wound care, and dressing changes
  • Support patient activities of daily living (ADLs) such as hygiene, feeding, and mobility
  • Monitor and respond to physiologic monitor alarms and patient call lights
  • Maintain and stock supplies and equipment in patient care spaces
  • Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Ability to read and write
  • Knowledge of laboratory or patient care methods
  • Ability to perform moderate standing, walking, lifting, and patient positioning

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completion of a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) or Certified Medical Assistant program
  • Experience in a skilled long-term care facility or acute care hospital
  • Enrollment in a nursing program with completed fundamentals of nursing coursework
  • Basic computer skills and coursework in an Allied Health field
