Patient Care Technician

Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of a Clinical Nurse to assist patients in a timely and efficient manner
• Handle patient care situations with a high level of integrity, compassion, and professionalism
• Take vital signs, perform EKGs, and collect specimens
• Collaborate with the clinical team and provide assistance with medical procedures as needed
• Use basic computer and data entry skills to support clinical documentation

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of healthcare-related experience (e.g., NA, PCT, EMT, Medical Technician, Phlebotomist, or LPN)
• OR a healthcare-related certification obtained within the past 12 months AND at least 1 year of relevant healthcare experience
• BLS certification required by time of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Epic EMR
