Patient Care Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and effective dialysis therapy under the supervision of a licensed nurse
• Set up and operate hemodialysis machines and perform necessary safety checks
• Monitor patient vital signs, weight, and response to treatment before, during, and after sessions
• Perform vascular access cannulation and evaluate access for patency
• Maintain a clean and safe clinical environment, including disinfecting equipment and treatment areas
• Document accurate and timely treatment data, vital signs, and patient observations in clinical applications
• Assist in the collection and preparation of laboratory specimens

Requirements

• High School diploma or G.E.D.
• Ability to obtain CMS-approved certification within the required timeline
• Availability for early morning shifts (as early as 5:00 am)
• Ability to pass the Ishihara Color Blindness test

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous patient care experience in a hospital or related healthcare setting
• Experience as an STNA, Phlebotomist, or EMT
