About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect care to patients on an internal medicine and telemetry floor
- Monitor patient status and recognize signs or symptoms that require evaluation by a licensed nurse
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Adapt to changing clinical needs and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Current BLS certification
- Ability to demonstrate clinical skills appropriate for internal medicine and telemetry patients
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the State of Tennessee
- Experience as an EMT, First Responder, or Medical Assistant
- Nursing students who have completed Fundamentals of Nursing
- Military Corpsman, Combat Medic, or Surgical Technician experience
- Previous experience in a Patient Care Technician role
