Patient Care Technical Associate

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and technical support under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
• Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, weight, oxygen saturation, and pain scores
• Perform specimen collection, including blood, urine, stool, and sputum
• Assist with clinical procedures, wound care, and dressing changes
• Support patient activities of daily living (ADLs) such as hygiene, feeding, and mobility
• Maintain and set up specialized clinical equipment and patient care spaces
• Document all care provided and report abnormal patient values to the nursing staff

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• One of the following: 6 months of acute care experience, enrollment in a nursing program, 1 year of rehab facility experience, or completion of a CNA program
• Physical ability to move, transport, and position patients and equipment

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) program
• Basic computer skills
• Coursework in an Allied Health field
