Patient Care Service Representative II

Responsibilities

• Manage front office administrative duties including patient check-in/out, insurance verification, and scheduling
• Handle incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries with accuracy
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant electronic health records (EHR)
• Perform clinical duties if MA certified, such as allergy skin testing, pulmonary function tests, and administering immunotherapy injections
• Monitor patient vitals and assist physicians during clinical consultations
• Educate patients and families on allergy and asthma care plans
• Maintain clean and stocked exam rooms and manage clinical supplies

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience in a front desk, medical receptionist, or Medical Assistant role
• Certified or Licensed Medical Assistant (California) if performing clinical duties
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Knowledge of medical terminology and EHR systems
• Familiarity with HIPAA and OSHA compliance standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in allergy, immunology, or respiratory care settings
• Experience with insurance prior authorizations
• Comfort performing skin testing and pulmonary diagnostics
