Patient Care Service Representative II

Responsibilities

• Manage front office duties including patient check-in/out, insurance verification, and co-pay collection
• Schedule appointments, testing, and follow-ups in collaboration with providers
• Submit and track prior authorizations and maintain HIPAA-compliant EHR records
• Perform clinical duties if MA certified, such as allergy skin testing, PFTs, and FeNO testing
• Administer allergy and immunotherapy injections following safety protocols
• Monitor patient vitals and assist physicians during clinical consultations
• Educate patients and families on allergy and asthma care plans

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience in medical reception, front desk, or Medical Assistant role
• Certified or Licensed Medical Assistant (California) if performing clinical duties
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Knowledge of medical terminology and EHR systems
• Familiarity with HIPAA and OSHA compliance

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in allergy, immunology, or respiratory care settings
• Experience with insurance prior authorizations
• Comfort performing skin testing and pulmonary diagnostics
