About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive learning support to medical and health professions students through instructional support and simulation-based education.
  • Manage the daily operations of the Simulation Lab, Clinical Exam Center, and Clinical Skills Lab.
  • Collaborate with faculty to develop and evaluate educational cases, rubrics, and clinical encounters.
  • Operate, maintain, and manage simulation technologies, including hi-fidelity manikins and task trainers.
  • Set up and assist with simulation exercises, Objective Structured Clinical Evaluations (OSCEs), and Standardized Patient Encounters (SPEs).
  • Train and provide feedback to Standardized Patients (SPs) to ensure quality in educational activities.
  • Monitor and grade student performance on patient encounters and interprofessional education (IPE) submissions.
  • Organize community outreach programs and provide faculty development sessions focused on simulation.
  • Maintain electronic surveys, forms, and logs for data collection and complete required accreditation reports.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in nursing, science, communication, or a related field, or a current license in a health-related profession.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to acquire and maintain certification as a BLS, ACLS, and/or PALS instructor.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong computer/technology skills.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Public Health, Education, or a health-related field.
  • Experience in a healthcare or healthcare education setting.
  • Professional medical, simulation, and/or education credentialing.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of medical, simulation, and education methodologies, including hi-fidelity simulation manikins.
