Patient Care Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Obtain and update accurate patient information, including names, addresses, and insurance details
• Perform insurance verification on the date of service
• File and maintain medical records with precision and efficiency
• Confirm and schedule patient appointments to ensure continuity of care
• Perform referral documentation promptly and monitor the fax server
• Work cohesively with clinical staff to achieve team goals in a fast-paced environment
• Maintain strict patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and OSHA requirements

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years of experience in a medical office position (scheduling, insurance verification, or medical records)
• 1+ years of computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Electronic Health Records (EPIC/PACS)
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Previous experience specifically in scheduling and imaging
• Proven ability to work effectively with providers, clinical staff, and patients
