About the role
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage patient care activities through the EMR system
- Support clinical workflows including referrals, laboratory orders, and medication refills
- Maintain communication with patients, providers, and families to resolve barriers to care
- Document all patient interactions accurately in the EMR
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment using office technology
Requirements
- Active Medical Assistant (MA/CMA) certification or comparable clinical credential
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience
- Strong knowledge of healthcare terminology, diagnoses, and medications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EMR systems
- Ability to work on-site in Waco, Texas, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm CST
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting providers or working in a medical office/family practice setting
- Experience coordinating patient care
