About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage patient intake, check-ins, and scheduling at the front desk and in the clinic
- Obtain and document complete medical histories using Electronic Health Records (EHR)
- Provide patient education regarding human sexuality, family planning, and general health
- Perform laboratory tests, including pregnancy testing, urinalysis, and rapid HIV testing
- Assist with clinical operations, including clinic opening/closing, restocking supplies, and cleaning equipment
- Support abortion services through counseling and assisting in surgical or recovery rooms
- Ensure accurate charge capture and financial reporting for all medical and counseling services
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working with Electronic Health Records (EHR)
- Strong customer service and teamwork skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and Saturdays
- Demonstrated commitment to health equity, bodily autonomy, and racial justice
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in sexual and reproductive healthcare
- Proficiency in languages other than English
- Experience in phlebotomy or high-volume customer service roles
- Prior experience working for Planned Parenthood
