Patient Care Associate

Responsibilities

• Manage patient intake, check-ins, and scheduling at the front desk and in the clinic
• Obtain and document complete medical histories using Electronic Health Records (EHR)
• Provide patient education regarding human sexuality, family planning, and general health
• Perform laboratory tests, including pregnancy testing, urinalysis, and rapid HIV testing
• Assist with clinical operations, including clinic opening/closing, restocking supplies, and cleaning equipment
• Support abortion services through counseling and assisting in surgical or recovery rooms
• Ensure accurate charge capture and financial reporting for all medical and counseling services

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience working with Electronic Health Records (EHR)
• Strong customer service and teamwork skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and Saturdays
• Demonstrated commitment to health equity, bodily autonomy, and racial justice

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in sexual and reproductive healthcare
• Proficiency in languages other than English
• Experience in phlebotomy or high-volume customer service roles
• Prior experience working for Planned Parenthood
