Patient Care Associate

Responsibilities

• Perform patient intake, obtain medical histories, and document findings accurately in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
• Provide patient-centered, non-judgmental sexual and reproductive health education.
• Conduct laboratory tests, including phlebotomy, urinalysis, and pregnancy testing, following all quality assurance protocols.
• Assist in clinical operations, including clinic opening/closing, restocking supplies, and maintaining equipment.
• Support abortion services through counseling and assisting in surgical or POC rooms as needed.
• Ensure efficient patient flow to minimize wait times and maintain high standards of customer service.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Medical Assistant certification from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Phlebotomy certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience working with Electronic Health Records (EHR).
• Demonstrated commitment to health equity, bodily autonomy, and racial justice.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings or Saturdays.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in languages other than English.
• Previous experience in a high-volume customer service or healthcare role.
• Experience with Medicaid screening.
• Prior experience in sexual and reproductive healthcare.
