About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform patient intake, including check-ins, scheduling, and obtaining complete medical histories.
  • Document patient information accurately in Electronic Health Records (EHR) using specific templates.
  • Provide non-judgmental sexual and reproductive health education regarding family planning, abortion, and general wellness.
  • Conduct laboratory tests, including pregnancy testing and rapid HIV testing, and manage lab requisitions and transport.
  • Support clinical operations by managing patient flow, restocking supplies, and performing clinic opening/closing duties.
  • Assist with abortion services, including counseling and supporting surgical or POC room functions.
  • Ensure access to interpreter services for patients with communication barriers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience working with Electronic Health Records (EHR).
  • Reliable transportation for regular travel between health center locations (Schenectady, Queensbury, and Saratoga).
  • Flexibility to work non-consecutive workdays, including evenings and Saturdays.
  • A demonstrated commitment to health equity, bodily autonomy, and racial justice.
  • Strong customer service and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in sexual and reproductive healthcare.
  • Proficiency in multiple languages.
  • Experience in phlebotomy, urinalysis, or Medicaid screening.
  • Prior experience in a high-volume customer service role.
