Patient Care Assistant - Allergy Clinic

Responsibilities

• Assist nurses with the completion of patient care activities, tailored to the patient's developmental level
• Measure and record vital signs, intake, and output
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and provide safe transportation
• Support both clinical and clerical tasks within the Allergy Clinic
• Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy in accordance with hospital standards
• Ensure a safe environment by complying with safety management programs to reduce injury risks
• Promote a patient and family-oriented experience

Requirements

• High School Diploma (HSD) or GED
• Previous PCA training, PCA experience, or active enrollment in a healthcare-related education program
• Ability to obtain CPR certification within 2 weeks of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-2 years of STNA experience in a hospital setting
• Existing CPR certification at the time of hire
