Patient Account Representative

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze outstanding insurance claims
• Investigate and resolve claim denials, rejections, and discrepancies
• Correspond with insurance companies to inquire about claim status
• Collaborate with billing and coding departments for claim resolution
• Maintain detailed records of interactions with insurance providers
• Prepare and submit appeals for denied or underpaid claims
• Address patient inquiries regarding insurance processes and billing
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and company policies

Requirements

• Strong understanding of medical billing processes
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced medical billing office environment
• Proficiency with computer systems and billing software
