About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide logistical and non-medical educational assistance to patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers to facilitate access to UPLIZNA therapy
  • Develop relationships with patients and caregivers through phone, text, email, virtual, or in-person connections
  • Educate patients on insurance coverage, prior authorization steps, and available financial support programs such as co-pay assistance
  • Provide proactive education to prescribers and sites of care regarding coding, billing, and reimbursement requirements for infused products
  • Investigate and resolve access challenges, including support for denied claims and claim reviews
  • Partner with internal cross-functional teams, including Market Access, Medical Affairs, and Case Management, to improve patient access
  • Adhere to professional standards, HIPAA guidelines, and all federal, state, and local compliance requirements

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree with 2 years of patient services or access and reimbursement experience
  • OR Master's degree with 4 years of patient services or access and reimbursement experience
  • OR Bachelor's degree with 6 years of patient services or access and reimbursement experience
  • Strong knowledge of buy and bill reimbursement processes for infused pharmaceutical products
  • Thorough understanding of HIPAA guidelines
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, including some overnight and weekend commitments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Scientific, nursing, or other clinical background
  • Experience in orphan or rare disease therapeutic areas
  • Proven ability to handle difficult patient cases and resolve complex hurdles
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strategic mindset
