About the role

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a field-based specialist supporting patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers in navigating insurance coverage and reimbursement pathways.
  • Assist stakeholders with prior authorization requirements, coding, billing considerations, and denied claims resolution.
  • Develop relationships with patients and caregivers to assess needs and provide education on financial assistance programs and co-pay support.
  • Educate physician offices and infusion centers on therapy coverage pathways and reimbursement processes.
  • Partner with internal cross-functional teams, including Market Access, Medical Affairs, and Case Management, to support the patient journey.
  • Ensure all activities comply with HIPAA privacy requirements, FDA regulatory standards, and company compliance guidelines.

Requirements

  • Doctorate, Master's, Bachelor's, Associate's, or High School diploma with relevant experience as follows:
  • Doctorate degree
  • OR Master's degree and 2 years of relevant experience
  • OR Bachelor's degree and 4 years of relevant experience
  • OR Associate's degree and 8 years of relevant experience
  • OR High School diploma/GED and 10 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with buy-and-bill or infused pharmaceutical therapies.
  • Knowledge of reimbursement processes, including prior authorization and appeals.
  • Understanding of HIPAA and FDA regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, including occasional overnight and weekend commitments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in rare disease or orphan drug therapeutic areas.
  • Clinical background such as nursing or allied health.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM, Microsoft Office, and AI-related systems.
