Patient Access Liaison

Responsibilities

• Serve as a field-based specialist supporting patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers in navigating insurance coverage and reimbursement pathways.
• Assist stakeholders with prior authorization requirements, coding/billing considerations, and denied claims resolution.
• Educate physician offices and infusion centers on therapy coverage pathways and reimbursement processes.
• Develop relationships with patients to assess needs and provide resources such as co-pay assistance and financial aid programs.
• Partner with internal teams including Market Access, Medical Affairs, and Case Management to support the patient journey.
• Ensure all activities comply with HIPAA privacy requirements and FDA regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Doctorate, Master's, Bachelor's, Associate's, or High School diploma with relevant experience as specified in the job levels.
• Experience with buy-and-bill or infused pharmaceutical therapies.
• Strong knowledge of reimbursement processes, including prior authorizations and appeals.
• Understanding of HIPAA and FDA regulations.
• Ability to travel up to 50%, including occasional overnight and weekend commitments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in rare disease or orphan drug therapeutic areas.
• Clinical background such as nursing or allied health.
• Proficiency in CRM, Microsoft Office, and AI-driven systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
