Pathway of Hope Case Worker

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized case plans to help clients navigate social challenges and break the cycle of poverty.
• Collaborate with community partners, including law enforcement, healthcare providers, and Indigenous organizations.
• Provide direct case management, including home visits, in-home training, and community resource referrals.
• Lead workshops, courses, and group offerings related to the Pathway of Hope program.
• Maintain accurate client records, case notes, and statistical data to measure program outcomes.
• Support organizational events such as food banks, back-to-school drives, and Christmas assistance.
• Assist in the development of new program materials, administrative frameworks, and best practices.

Requirements

• 2-year college diploma in Social Services or a related field.
• 2 years of experience in a social service setting, including work with marginalized populations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email.
• Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and handle sensitive, confidential information.
• Willingness to support the mission and values of The Salvation Army.

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid certification in First Aid/CPR.
• WHMIS certification.
• Non-violent crisis intervention training.
• Proficiency in Canva.
