About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Clinical Pathology Team in Phoenix, AZ
- Manage pathologist scheduling and coordinate coverage for fluctuating caseloads
- Facilitate Pathology Quality Assurance (QA) activities and assist in preparation for regulatory inspections
- Update and report on Pathology department metrics and performance
- Develop agendas and record meeting minutes for weekly and quarterly departmental meetings
- Act as a central point of contact between Clinical Pathology and other laboratory operations groups
- Manage management calendars, appointments, and departmental events
- Maintain electronic filing systems and assist with consulting contracts and purchase orders
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or an Associate's degree with 2 years of relevant experience
- 3+ years of experience providing administrative support
- Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
- Basic computer skills, including internet navigation and email usage
- Ability to handle sensitive information with absolute discretion
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a life science field
- 3+ years of administrative support experience within the Biotech, Clinical Laboratory, or Life Science industry
