Patent Professional

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain assigned intellectual property portfolios for specific technology or business areas
• Provide expert advice and support to inventors regarding patentable ideas
• Conduct IP research and prepare detailed legal opinions and assessments
• Handle offensive and defensive legal disputes, including risk assessment and development of action recommendations
• Represent the company before patent offices and courts
• Review and negotiate IP-related contracts with third parties

Requirements

• Completed degree in a scientific field (Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or similar)
• Qualification as a Patent Attorney, European Patent Attorney, or Patent Assessor
• Extensive experience working within a corporate IP department
• Professional fluency in both German and English
• Strong analytical skills and a systematic, independent way of working
• Excellent communication skills for an international business environment
