Pastry Cook

Responsibilities

• Prepare quality baked goods, desserts, and pastries according to cycle menus
• Demonstrate kitchen sanitation practices following HACCP procedures
• Precut and portion baked goods for consistency
• Prepare items for catering requests in coordination with the Dining Room Manager
• Manage early morning production for bakery and pastry needs
• Ensure high-quality eye appeal and garnishing for all dessert presentations

Requirements

• 1-3+ years of previous baking experience
• Basic knowledge of baking techniques
• Ability to follow standardized recipes
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment and tools
• Current sanitation certification
• Strong communication skills for interacting with staff and residents
