About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead by example as a hands on Pastry Cook ensuring the quality and consistency of all products served
  • Prepare desserts to the standards set by the Executive Chef and Chef de Cuisine
  • Maintain accurate records of all food ingredients for pastry
  • Record recipes, tally costs, and update them on an ongoing basis
  • Identify and correct issues impacting operational effectiveness
  • Adhere to health, safety, and cleanliness standards
  • Professionally handle special requests and guest allergies

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years progressive experience in a pastry capacity
  • Knowledge of new trends in presentation and preparation
  • Proven ability to work well with a team and individually
  • Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada

Preferred Qualifications

  • Culinary degree or diploma
