Party Chief

Responsibilities

• Operate survey instruments including transits, total stations, levels, and data collectors
• Perform various survey types such as leveling, traversing, topographic mapping, and boundary surveys
• Maintain neat and orderly field notes and perform daily data collector downloading
• Plan daily activities and manage equipment inventory, loading, and maintenance
• Communicate project aspects to office staff and prepare daily time sheets and expense reports
• Work independently to make technical and supervisory decisions within specified authority
• Adhere to all safety requirements, traffic control procedures, and company policies

Requirements

• 3 years of relevant field experience
• Proficiency with Trimble, GPS R-12, Robotic S-7, and TSC3 Data Collector
• Knowledge of trigonometry, geometry, algebra, and coordinate geometry
• Ability to work in all types of weather conditions
• Ability to read and interpret site, boundary, highway, and pipeline plans
