Parts Person and Small Engine Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and technicians in identifying and sourcing correct parts
• Manage parts inventory including ordering, receiving, stocking, and cycle counts
• Maintain accurate records in the parts management system
• Process parts sales, returns, and warranties
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain small engines and equipment such as lawn mowers, chainsaws, and generators
• Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tune-ups, and carburetor cleaning
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues
• Test equipment after repairs to ensure proper operation

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience with small engine repair preferred
• Knowledge of 2-cycle and 4-cycle engines
• Familiarity with parts catalogs, diagrams, and inventory systems
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and work in a shop environment
• Valid driver’s license
