Parts Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives
• Forecast material needs and manage procurement timelines to avoid operational disruptions
• Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers
• Negotiate contracts and ensure competitive pricing and quality standards
• Manage procurement budgets and monitor spending for cost-effectiveness
• Oversee inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels of materials and spare parts
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and environmental standards
• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, purchases, and contracts
• Collaborate with Maintenance and Finance departments to optimize processes and billing accuracy

Requirements

• Several years of experience in procurement within mining, construction, or heavy machinery industries
• Experience managing medium to large-scale procurements for equipment and raw materials
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills
• Proficiency with procurement software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
• Excellent analytical, communication, and vendor relations skills
• Understanding of supply chain management and logistics in a mining context
