About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage and track truck and trailer parts stock levels
- Order new inventory and transfer invoices to the accounts department
- Work with Mechanics and Service Coordinators to assign and track issued parts
- Enter repair and maintenance work into the company database
- Assist in daily planning of repair and maintenance work schedules
- Ensure timely service of company equipment and compliance
- Coordinate with the safety department to notify drivers of services due
- Pick up parts from dealerships and organize shop inventory
- Handle other shop-related tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum one-year experience as a Parts clerk or coordinator
- Knowledge of truck parts and equipment
- Heavy vehicle aftermarket and parts background
- Strong computer skills, particularly MS Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and extended hours including weekends
