About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage and track truck and trailer parts stock levels
- Order new inventory as needed and transfer invoices to the accounts department
- Work closely with mechanics and service coordinators to assign and track issued parts
- Enter repair and maintenance work into the company database
- Assist in the daily planning of repair and maintenance work schedules
- Ensure timely service of company equipment to uphold truck and trailer compliance
- Coordinate with the safety department to notify drivers of upcoming services
- Pick up parts from dealerships and organize common parts within the shop
- Handle other shop-related tasks as they arise
Requirements
- Minimum one-year experience as a Parts Clerk or Coordinator
- Strong knowledge of truck parts and equipment
- Background in heavy vehicle aftermarket and parts
- Proficiency in MS Office and strong computer skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and willingness to work extended hours and weekends
