Parts Associate

Responsibilities

• Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish
• Communicate with customers and staff in a friendly and professional manner regarding parts status
• Answer phone calls to provide price quotes and relevant information
• Review body shop estimates to ensure parts and pricing are correct
• Pull and fill orders from stock and maintain weekly bin checks for accuracy
• Notify the parts manager of out-of-stock items and locate parts from outside sources when necessary
• Process payments from retail customers or obtain credit authorizations
• Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read and interpret parts catalogs, safety rules, and procedure manuals
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (discounts, percentages, etc.)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
• Strong organizational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in auto parts sales
