Responsibilities

  • Serve as an expert within strategic partners' enterprise sales motions to enable teams and position Sierra
  • Build and maintain a network of champions across partner organizations to maximize pipeline
  • Own and hit Japan channel revenue targets by closing enterprise deals through partners
  • Coordinate with partners and sales leadership through business reviews and joint account planning
  • Partner with global GTM teams to build enablement programs, sales plays, and commercial frameworks
  • Act as the voice of the Japan market to advise on product and GTM enhancements
  • Represent Sierra in customer, partner, and industry engagements

Requirements

  • 10+ years of enterprise technology sales experience
  • 8+ years of selling experience in Japan
  • Proven track record of driving revenue through channel or partner-led sales motions
  • Existing relationships within Japan's technology ecosystem (telecoms, SIs, cloud providers)
  • Native Japanese fluency and business-level English fluency
  • Deep understanding of Japan's enterprise procurement and decision-making culture

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with organizations like SoftBank, NTT, Fujitsu, NEC, Accenture Japan, or Deloitte Japan
  • Background at a high-growth enterprise SaaS company (e.g., Salesforce, ServiceNow, Zendesk)
  • Experience developing partner enablement programs or sales plays
  • Experience in the CX or customer service technology ecosystem
  • Familiarity with AI/ML applications in enterprise settings
