About the role
About the Company
Outpost operates as Merchant of Record, Tax of Record, and Customs of Record across 58+ jurisdictions, becoming the legally liable entity for payments, tax, and customs for merchants. The team consists of leaders from Revolut, Airwallex, Adyen, and Wayflyer.
Responsibilities
- Build Outpost's partnerships function from scratch, including pipeline, process, and commercial playbook
- Deepen relationships with PSPs and orchestrators like Checkout.com, Adyen, and Nuvei
- Manage the investor-referral engine to convert introductions into signed merchants
- Own referral deals end-to-end, including scoping, negotiation, and closing
- Build commercial infrastructure such as MSAs, referral revenue-share agreements, and embedded-API SLAs
- Collaborate with engineering to design and implement a Partner Portal
- Create reporting and playbooks to scale the partner channel
Requirements
- 4–7 years in partnerships, BD, or commercial roles at a payments company or fintech
- Mandatory experience in payments or fintech
- Proven track record of closing commercial partnerships
- Technical fluency to discuss API integrations with engineers
- Strong commercial mindset focused on GMV and revenue share
- Ability to work in a high-ambiguity, build-from-scratch environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Existing network across PSPs, orchestrators, or the fintech VC ecosystem
- Experience with MoR, cross-border commerce, or tax compliance
- Ability to draft commercial terms independently
