Partnership Excellence Specialist

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a standardized, risk-based partnership management framework covering the full lifecycle from selection to renewal.
• Develop workflows, templates, and documentation standards to ensure consistent and auditable practices across the organization.
• Support the development of partnership tracking systems for contractual agreements, deliverables, and financial/technical performance metrics.
• Create analytical tools and dashboards using BI approaches to provide portfolio-level visibility into partner activity and risks.
• Coordinate enhancements to risk-based due diligence processes and partner selection criteria.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Programs, and IT teams to align partnership tools with existing policies and ERP capabilities.
• Deliver targeted training to CIMMYT teams on partnership management, financial monitoring, and donor compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business management, finance, agriculture, international development, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in partnership management oversight, financial management, or transformational roles within NGOs or international organizations.
• Strong financial acumen with the ability to interpret complex funding structures, budgets, and risk indicators.
• Proven experience designing and implementing frameworks, procedures, or tools for risk management or performance tracking.
• Hands-on experience with data visualization and analytical tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or advanced Excel.
• Experience working in cross-functional and international/multicultural environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex operational concepts into user-friendly guidance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Professional certifications in process improvement or project delivery (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile).
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Dynamics 365) and contract management platforms.
• Experience in data governance and information management practices.
