Partner Director

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day relationships with signed partners in Japan, acting as the primary point of contact for enablement, solutioning, and GTM execution.
• Drive partner onboarding across sales training, technical enablement, security, and support operations.
• Ensure partner readiness to deploy and resell OpenAI solutions through milestone tracking and joint QBRs.
• Orchestrate co-developed solutions by collaborating with partners to define use cases and localize technical documentation.
• Monitor partner performance, identify risks, and implement remediation or acceleration plans.
• Coordinate across internal OpenAI teams including Sales, Solution Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success.
• Establish operational rhythms such as roadmap briefings and sales enablement refreshes.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in alliances, partner success, or sales within enterprise software or systems integration.
• Proven experience with partner GTM motions and building/activating them.
• Strong experience managing relationships at the executive level.
• Exceptional ability to operate in ambiguous, fast-changing environments and bring structure to complex workstreams.
• Strong program management skills with the ability to hold cross-functional stakeholders accountable.
• Native-level fluency in Japanese and professional fluency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with strategic advisory firms.
• Familiarity with the Japanese enterprise ecosystem and managing global partner teams.
