Partner & Director, Head of Portfolio Operations

Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic partner to the Managing Partner to scale the venture platform and evolve the operating model.
• Oversee portfolio governance, including valuation processes, analytics, reporting, and investment committee operations.
• Drive institutional-quality management practices such as KPI tracking, risk management, and performance reviews.
• Lead operational excellence initiatives by implementing AI-enabled tools and automation to modernize workflows.
• Support portfolio companies through strategic guidance, governance participation, and value creation initiatives.
• Act as an ambassador for TELUS Global Ventures with founders, co-investors, and senior leadership.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in venture capital, private equity, growth equity, or strategic finance.
• Strong finance and analytical foundation with expertise in valuation and portfolio management.
• Proven ability to build and scale operational systems, processes, and infrastructure.
• Exceptional executive presence and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to influence executive teams, founders, and cross-functional partners.
• Deep interest in AI-enabled operations and data-driven decision-making.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting portfolio companies through board membership, observer roles, or strategic planning.
• Background in operating within high-growth or complex organizational environments.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with strong judgment and execution orientation.
